Below is the latest list of Beer that we expect to be delivered to the 38th Durham Beer Festival.
This information is supplied in good faith and whilst we will attempt to keep this page as up to date possible there may still be some last minute changes to availability and ABV may occur. Beers marked as (RESERVE) are beers we will hold at the festival but which will only become available as other beers finish and so their availability cannot be guaranteed.

Camerons Strongarm 4.0% Bitter Delivers an initial sweet surge of flavour followed by a delicious malty taste; SMELL Rich, Toffee, Malty, TASTE: Sweet, Bitter. Kindly donated by Camerons Brewery
Timothy Taylor Boltmaker 4.0% Bitter Well-balanced Yorkshire Bitter that was awarded CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 2014 and Champion Beer of Britain Bitter category in 2016.
Big Lamp Big Lamp Bitter (RESERVE) 3.9% Bitter A clean-tasting bitter, full of hops and malt. A hint of fruit with a good, hoppy finish.
Stables Brewery Silver Buckles 4.4% Golden Ale India pale ale. Light golden biscuit with a grapefruit finish.
Working Hand Dr Kellys Sick Note 4.2% Golden Ale A dry beer produced by having a low mash temperature thus allowing the hop profile to really shine with Galaxy hops giving citrus and grapefruit overtones. Kindly donated by the Society for the Preservation of Beer from the Wood, Tyne & Wear branch
Camerons Road Crew 4.7% Golden Ale American style session pale ale, golden in colour and has a hoppy citrus and blackcurrant flavour and satisfying bitter finish. Kindly donated by Camerons Brewery
Fyne Ales Jarl 3.8% Golden Ale Light and golden colour with a strong citrus and hop aroma. Citrus and grassy hop flavours dominate the palate with a light and refreshing dry finish.
Oakham Citra 4.2% Golden Ale A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.
Allendale Adder Lager (RESERVE) 5.0% Lager Award winning lager traditionally brewed in a Bohemian style with a slow fermentation, followed by cold conditioning. Incredibly drinkable with a light, fresh hop flavour balanced by a premium malt body.
Maxim Maximus 6.0% Old Ale Dark ruby in colour, Maximus has a sweet liquorice taste that is warming and easy to drink. Beware of its underlying strength. Kindly donated by Maxim Brewery
Maxim Double Maxim 4.7% Old Ale Delivers a mouth of full and rounded flavour that is well balanced and smooth and leaves a pleasant and lingering slightly sweet aftertaste. Kindly donated by Maxim Brewery

Whitstable Bay Pale Ale 3.9% Pale Ale The sweet maltiness balances perfectly with the fresh pine notes provided by the hops added late in the process, to offer a light-coloured, thirst-quenching ale.
Roundhill Rootin' Tootin' Fruit 'n Glut'n 4.5% Pale Wheat Ale Wheat
Hadrian Border Ouseburn Porter 5.2% Porter This traditional robust and satisfying porter uses the best quality ingredients including rolled oats to produce a smooth, rich, and dark creamy drink.
Kirkstall Black Band Porter 5.5% Porter A full bodied yet beautifully smooth dark porter. Perfectly balanced. Kindly donated by Ye Old Elm Tree, Crossgate, Durham
Elland 1872 Porter 6.5% Porter Arguably the most decorated beer in recent British brewing history. A rich, complex, dark ruby porter from an 1872 recipe. It has an old port nose, coffee and bitter chocolate flavours from four malts including finest Maris Otter and English hops. Supreme Champion Beer of Britain. Three times National Winter Ales Champion.
Roundhill Slug Porter 7.3% Porter A rich chocolaty porter with notes of plum and raisin
George Samuel Harvey 5.2% Porter Traditional porter rich malt flavour from brown, chocolate and crystal malts. Lightly hopped with British fuggles. Kindly donated by The Station House, North Road, Durham
Camerons M&M (RESERVE) 4.3% Speciality Mango & Mandarin Pale Ale. This unfined golden beer is infused with both mango and mandarin fruits to give the beer a refreshing summer taste packed full of fruity flavour. Vegan friendly beer with a slight haze. Kindly donated by Camerons Brewery
Hanlon's Port Stout (RESERVE) 4.8% Speciality Dark chestnut beer whose bitter chocolate and roast malt taste from the Dry Stout base is softened by the addition of rich Ruby Port, combining the hoppy pepperiness from Phoenix, Styrian and East Kent Goldings with vinous alcoholic fruitiness.
Titanic Plum Porter 4.9% Speciality Dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring.
Elland White Prussian 4.0% Speciality A crisp, clean and refreshing beer made from lager malt and German hops. A fruity flavour with a floral, spice and citrus aroma from Perle and Mittlefruh hops. Kindly donated by LWC Drinks of Houghton le Spring
Harviestoun Schiehallion 4.8% Speciality The "Champagne of Lagers", providing an elegant head, luscious lacing and crisp palate. A lingering, fresh grapefruity finish from whole, pressed hop cones tops it off.
Durham Black Bishop 4.1% Stout With a base of nine different malts, Black Bishop is full bodied and rich but still manages to be very sessionable. A clean, crisp, roast body gives way to a pleasantly smoky finish.
Black Sheep Riggwelter 5.9% Strong Bitter Rich espresso aromas, dark fruit and roasted malt flavours. Just a hint of liquorice.
Ringwood Old Thumper (RESERVE) 5.6% Strong Bitter Peppery, spicy aroma with a hint of apples. Luscious balance of grain and hop in the mouth. Bitter sweet finish with delicate fruit notes.
Kirkstall Disollution 5.0% Strong Bitter Delicious amber ale with a substantial hop kick. Kindly donated by Ye Old Elm Tree, Crossgate, Durham
Thornbridge Jaipur 5.9% Strong Bitter A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.
Wylam Jakehead 6.3% Strong Bitter Supercharged India Pale Ale.... rich/bright & amber/bronze with American hop aroma. Distinctly bittersweet on the palate with a massive hop complexity
Exmoor Beast 6.6% Strong Old Ale Brewed with a mix of pale ale, chocolate and crystal malts, and hopped with Goldings, Challenger and Brewers Gold. Dark mahogany-brown, with a hint of crimson. Lush rich aromas of toffee, treacle. Mocha coffee, vinous fruit and chocolate swirl above the glass. Flavours of rich fruit-cake, a hint of rum, more Mocha coffee, an herbal hoppiness, vinous fruit, while the bittersweet finish is smooth yet complex, rich but not cloying. Camerons Gabbo (RESERVE) 4.0% West Coast IPA Gabbo is a session strength West Coast style IPA, with a low bitterness but a full on pine and citrus hop aromas and flavours. Kindly donated by Camerons Brewery
